Joseph E. Keavy
Joe concentrates his practice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate transactions, entity formation, corporate finance, and business transactions.
Joe regularly represents both buyers and sellers in merger and acquisition transactions, including market entry acquisitions, strategic add-on acquisitions, sales of privately held businesses to larger companies and private equity funds, cross-border transactions, and asset acquisitions and dispositions. In addition, Joe advises lenders and borrowers in all types of commercial lending and financing transactions, including secured and unsecured credit facilities, real estate and other asset-based loans, SBA and Freddie Mac financing, and loan modifications and work-outs.
Joe also serves as outside general counsel to privately held businesses. He has extensive experience advising officers, directors and shareholders regarding employment matters, trade secrets and restrictive covenants, corporate governance, professional regulation and licensing, trademarks, intellectual property, and business contracts.
Prior to joining DKMO, Joe was a corporate attorney with a boutique suburban law firm.
